Curly-braces used with existing files (content that pre-exsisted before adding the RTE to the site) are being converted to “safe-ascii” or some other equivalents.

    This:

Becomes this (spaces added to get it to display in the forums):

    % 7 B filedir_1 % 7 D

And EE is not able to read the variable and replace with the appropriate file path. This made quite a mess of the site, I’m very glad the site I’m testing this on is in re-development and not a live site at this point.

Will there be support for EE’s own file path variables in the RTE in the near future? Is this a bug, or expected behavior?

    Hi Kurt,

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!

Is this a bug, or expected behavior?

Not expected behavior, of course! I went ahead and filed the bug report.

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

    Cheers,
