    Hi Dan,

I have exactly the same problem…
And even stranger, the memory usage online is different than the one locally.
Masuga had also something similar: https://twitter.com/vicrau/status/226695944702418944

One thing I notice in the profiler, I’ve placed a copy here:
    http://www.vicrau.be/template_debugging.html

It starts at 11MB and it really jumps up here and that’s even for pages not using playa.
    (0.041128 / 16.13MB)    -> Method Called: entries
    (0.084092 / 21.71MB)    Calling Extension Class/Method: Playa_ext/channel_entries_tagdata

I know my post is a bit similar to the previous ones above, but you never know 😊

    regards
    Vic

    Hey Vic,

    Thanks for the debugging output!

    Ok:

    (0.000007 / 11.10MB) - Begin Template Processing -

That’s the overhead just to load ExpressionEngine, and that will be different from host to host based on how PHP is configured.

The next significant jump is when ExpressionEngine loads the filed need to run the modules and plugins found in the template:

(0.020419 / 12.55MB) Including Files for Plugins and Modules
(0.035792 / 15.64MB) Files for Plugins and Modules All Included

So, the question falls with the template itself. I’d be happy to look it over if you want to post?

    Cheers,

    Hey Dan,

yes indeed, I contacted my hosting company and they told me the same yesterday.

For the second point, can I PM you a login, cause working with snippets, wrappers, ... kinda hard to post everything here.

    Thanks!

    kind regards
    Vic

    Hi Vic,

We keep our PMs disabled, but I’m happy to send you a login request! Be on the lookout for an email from EllisLab.
