Hi there, I’m starting a new project and am having a little trouble wrapping my head around how to handle a login issue. My client has 2 brands that they own. They have hundreds of dealers nation wide for each of the brands. They would like 1 (one) login page for both sets of dealers, but once logged in they would be directed to their own branded section of the website. Both groups would share the same template structure, navigation names, channel names, channel fields, etc.. It’s just the content for each group that would be different.

    QUESTIONS
    —————————————
    1. Is it possible to have one login page that would direct the user to the correct MSM site based on their login rights?
    2. Is is possible to share channels, channel fields, templates, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi dodgson,

    1. Is it possible to have one login page that would direct the user to the correct MSM site based on their login rights?

That is exactly one of the benefits os MSM.

    2. Is is possible to share channels, channel fields, templates, etc.

Those items are exactly several benefits of MSM.

You can also share Member Groups between sites, but have separate permissions for each site.

It sounds like MSM is exactly the right thing for this 😊

I’ll be happy to answer any more questions you might have!

    Cheers!
