    Hello Sears,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Is this the same behavior in more than one browser?

Did you make any changes to ExpressionEngine or install any Add-Ons?

    Any server changes recently?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Thanks for your comment , I am using the same v2.2.2 system and nothing has been changed , Also I checked it with other browsers and all are same :(

Do you think upgrading to new version will fix this problem ??

    Many thanks

    Hey Sears Davies,

You are free to upgrade, but I would rather figure out the issue first.

No changes ExpressionEngine, but what about the server? Would you be able to check with your hosting provider?

Can you try and create a new upload destination and then try to upload to it? That will tell us if it’s an issue with the current location or if it’s a bigger issue.

    Thank you Sears,

We are experiencing the same issue with one of our EE website in version V2.2.2
Each time we click on the Upload File link, the popup shows up and disappears after one second, leaving a grey/black screen. Our client has not been able to upload files on the system since we launched the website.

The problem occurs log in as a client with IE9, Firefox and Chrome in a Windows environment and with Safari on a mac.
I have no problem to upload files logged in as super admin with Firefox on a mac but I have the problem as super admin in Windows… And if I log in with the client account in Firefox on the mac I get the error 25% of the time! That’s weird…

I don’t know if it can help but I ran Firebug to see what’s happening when the problem occurs, it seems a script is not loading. By the way this script is called two times, one is loaded and one is not…

I attached a screenshot of Firebug.

    Hello Nikolaii,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Are you using any Control Panel themes?

Can you list out your Add-Ons for me?

    Cheers,

I am using the default Control Panel theme.

Here are the list of the add-ons installed on the website.
    Modules: Channel, Comment, Email, Emoticon
    Plugins: Expresso

It seems if we wait long enough for the page to be loaded completely in the browser, it helps a lot to make it working. So depending on the browser and the credentials, the page is slow to load and some Javascript files loaded twice (see my previous firebug screenshot).

    Hello Nikolaii,

Can you make sure that the Expresso WYSIWYG editor is up to date?

    Thank you,

    Hi Shane,

I updated Expresso to its latest release, the problem still persists.

    Hello Nikolaii,

    This is very odd.

Because the issue is intermittent and works one one OS and not the other, I would suggest that there is something on the server side that is disrupting things.

Are you behind a proxy server or anything like that? Is the behavior the same on a computer outside of the location you are currently testing from?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,
