I’m running EE 2.4 and am running into the same problem with ‘pages_url’ adding an unwanted trailing slash to the end of a url, even if it doesn’t exist in the entry’s page uri.

The workaround is simple enough, but is this going to be addressed in the next EE update?

    Hello colddigital,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Can you check your Control Panel and navigate to Admin->General Configuration? Do you have a trailing slash there? This can also be overridden in your config files, so check there as well.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Cheers!

No, there is no trailing slash in my general configuration.

And just to clarify, when I use {pages_url} for any given entry I get:

    siteurl.com/page-uri/

when what I’d really like to get is:

    siteurl.com/page-uri

Is this something I can override in my config file?

    Hey colddigital,

There is a trailing slash somewhere. Did you check your index.php and admin.php files?

Can you check those please and let me know?

    Cheers,
