This site http://europeanhighchallenge.com/en/ running EE 2.4.0.

I have a Moblog set up for the news section. Everything seems to be working fine.

Except if you include the word “Switzerland” in the email to the Moblog. Then the entry is created, it posts on the site but the word “Switzerland” isn’t there. It just misses it out. I’ve tested it several times. This could be happening with other words I guess but that’s the only one that’s come up. My client lives in Switzzerland so it is a bit of an issue.

Is there some kind of library of banned words built into EE somewhere. And if so why is Switzerland on it. This could be the most random bug I’ve ever come across!

    Hello timprint,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

There is no banned word list that I know of.

What are you using for your email service in the POP3 settings?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane

Not sure what you need? It’s an email account hosted with EngineHosting, do you want me to PM you the specific account name and password? If I pick up an email sent to that account in my email client the whole message comes through, including the word Switzerland. It doesn’t appear in the created entry though.

    Hey timprint,

Hmmm. Okay, I was going in a direction but you confirmed that the messages are coming though with full text. I was hoping the message was getting munged.

I think we may need to see this. Please be on the look out for an email from EllisLab.

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane

I was about to fill in your support email when I had the lightbulb moment. As usual the problem occured between chair and keyboard!

I had copied my clients whole email signature into the “Ignore email Text” field in the moblog settings. Of course his address includes Switzerland… and there’s the problem.

I’ll let him know that he needs to delete his signature when emailing entries to the Moblog. Thanks for your help.
