    YO!
I am looking for someone or something to take an existing blog that is in Wordpress, and bring it across into Expression Engine.

    The Blog is big.
    It has categories.
    It has heaps of Images.
    Authors.
    Tags.
    And perhaps a load more.

Is there anyone out there that is an expert at helping with something like this?

In essence, they are having so many problems with Wordpress.
I want to be able to bring them across to EE and give them something more stable, more flexible and more options.

    Thanks.
    =)

There’s a tool called DataGrab that’s pretty good at drawing content from various different sources into EE channels with the right planning.  That would definitely be something to look at, when it comes to porting all of their existing content over.

In addition to DataGrab, there is a blog post from someone who has performed the WP -> EE conversion. It has a few pointers, although every conversion is likely to be different:

If you need a hand at doing this, I may be hireable. I have logged more hours in the EE database (including with data conversions) than in its control panel. I also have some light experience with WordPress’s database and plugin architectures.

    Handy to know….thank you.
I am doing some ground work, haven’t been commissioned for the job yet.
I want to learn how to do such things myself, but if I do need a hand I’ll holla.
    Thanks Guys.
