    Hello,

I have to put up a website like this EXAMPLE Its a private ecommerce website where you need to be a member to be invited on selected discounted sales over a certain period of time. Products on sale can be anything from apparels to cinema tickets. Website will be in french first and later on add english as second language.

At first glance, it seams viable to build it with EE & cartthrob.  What do you guys think? Am i on the right path for such a project.

Your opinion is greatly welcome before I put in the cash for EE license and start making samples for the client.

I chose cartthrob for its ability to code my own gateway.  Though I need to check if I am able to translate the cart into french.

    Thanks in advance.

    There’s no reason why not!

Cartthrob can handle any sort of product, and EE can easily handle member accounts, as well as being multi-lingual

    Hey am,

    I second bluedreamer’s response.

I think you would be very happy with the results.

If you would like, I can move this thread over to the Community Help Forum where I am sure some dedicated community members would be more than happy to share with you how they integrated CT and EE and what to look for.

    Cheers,

    Hey guys. Thanks for input.

Looking forward to start the project with EE.
Shane would be great to have the community help on that.
