    Hello

A SEO analyst suggest us to change something on our website

The meta tags of our website is the same for all pages because it’s defined in a header code but our content is very various (culture , politic , sport, languagues, ...)

And we should define it more locally on each pages

Do you know how could i allow my users to do that ?

    Thanks

Yep, duplicate metas aren’t helpful for SEO. Quick fix would be to leave your meta description blank and let the search engine grab copy from the content of your pages instead. Not ideal. Also, I never bother with meta keywords anymore. These seem to have been dropped from many search engines now.

A better solution would be to create a custom (text input) field so you can optionally add meta descriptions for each entry. Then include the field in your template along with everything else.

You could go a stage further with custom fields for browser title, change frequency and priority. I did an article on this a while back: http://www.designkarma.co.uk/blog/comments/granular-seo-in-expressionengine.

    Hello FransizKulturMerkezi,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

Looks like Ian provided a really great answer! I do not think I could add that much to it. Aside from suggesting this Add-On called NSM Better Meta. This will save you from spending time on custom fields as Ian suggested as an option.

    I hope this helps!

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Cheers,
