Hi,
I’ve built a few EE sites, but none of them have been built to sell anything yet, so I have no experience at all of EE payment addons.
I need to build a site that can sell a service, nothing tangible, the user should also be able to log in and view their payment details afterward.
I looked at EESuite, but the description is not very clear, and the ecommerce modules seem far too bloated for my needs, advice welcome.

Just to clarify, do you primarily want them to purchase a downloadable file?
Will they also have to pay for membership? E.g. 6 month, 12 month membership? Or does membership come free with the purchase of the download?

No membership has been requested, but they probably need to be able to view their purchase details (although the client hasn’t actually asked for this bit, I think it’s probably required if people pay for something).
They will be paying for a service, like a wedding ceremony, not a download (I can’t give too much away at the moment!), a deposit or the full payment.
