    Hi

I have a client that wants to have a website / system that will allow them to interact with registered members.

Once a member they can then upload time sheets and documents into the EE system which will email the client the document and store them in the database and can be retrieved at a later date if required.

The client will also be able to upload payslips to the system, which will work the opposite way and email the member and then appear on their members page only.

Is this possible with EE or are their any add ons that can be purchased?

    Thanks

    James

    Hello Twist-id,

    Thank you for your question.

The default form which is SafeCracker for uploading does not send email confirmations.

I do believe this is possible with a few Add-Ons. There are a few Form Add-On’s listed here as well as other member management Add-Ons if your needs are a little more robust than what comes with ExpressionEngine out of the box. Members is a pretty popular one.

    I hope this helps.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Cheers,

Should be possible by using SafeCracker - http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/safecracker/index.html

You could also use Pixel and Tonic’s Assets module - http://pixelandtonic.com/assets which works with SafeCracker.

I know Brand New Box developed a client downloads module which may also come in handy: http://brandnewbox.co.uk/products/details/client_downloads

    Hope that helps.

    Hi guys,

All look good. Am I correct in thinking that it would work for members to have their own homepage/areas and within this area an admin can upload and download files only specific to them.

Also as the admin will be uploading payslips to their secure area for the logged in member to download, I’m thinking that we will also have to introduce some safeguards to ensure that the admin does not upload a payslip to the wrong member area. Is this possible?

Hope all the above makes sense.

    Thanks

    James

    Hey James,

User’s do have their own areas in that they have a profile page. But you would need to use SafeCracker to build out the upload form.

If you are using Members or another Add-On to manage users, I believe they will have a procedure for that. Using our out of the box groups, to accomplish this you would need to create a group for each user and then limit access based on groups.

Does that makes sense? Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers,
