    Greetings ~

Trying to find the best approach for this, and haven’t come up with any real options yet. Basically, this is what I’m trying to do:

    1) Create a User Gallery for each of my users, they’ll be able to batch upload images via Safecracker and whatever module/approach that I can work with. (Tried Channel Images.. great module but not going to work).

    2) After you upload your image(s), they aren’t posted to your gallery yet. You’d have to specify a title, location and etc. information and submit the images with all that meta information.

    3) This is the real killer, we’d like to be able to edit an image (meta information), each image independently. The trouble when using Channel Images is the batch upload creates a single post with all the images w/ that batch listed as well. Without the ability to edit a single Image.

All the approaches I’ve found require you publish an entry via safecracker in order to store images and have them tied to an account. Are there any other methods? Really looking forward to figuring out a solution to this, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

    Cheers,
    Scott

    Hi scottmey,

Thank you for posting your questions.

I am do not think that you are going to be able to accomplish these things with SafeCracker. I did a bit of searching at Devot://ee for something other than Channel Images, but nothing sticks out as being able to accomplish this.

I can move this to either the Community Help Forum or the Development and Programming Forum to see if anyone has some ideas.

You could require those meta fields be filled out before submitting the form using inline error handling, but that is not really what you are looking for.

Please let me know if you would like me to move this over to another forum.

    Thanks,
