I upgraded to 2.4 from 1.6.8 and had a few other issues. I just tried to install Low NoSpam and discovered there was no third_party directory in the system folder, so I created one. I set permissions at 777 to that folder and the low_nospam folder and all its contents (not knowing what else to do), but Low NoSpam doesn’t show up under Extensions as it should. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hi vmills,

This is definitely odd behaviour. You mentioned other issues during your upgrade to 2.4, what were they and are they resolved? Your third_party folder does not need permissions set to 777 You should return that to 755.

Did you place the third_party folder in /system/expressionengine/third_party/ ?

Sean: thanks for the reply. For some reason, I didn’t get email notification which is why I’m late responding. I was just getting ready to send you screenshots when I realized I was looking for third_party in system/ rather than system/expressionengine/. :red: Sheesh.

All is working fine now so you can close this thread.
