    Hi All

On EE’s features page - http://expressionengine.com/overview/features/ - under Online User Tracking, it says you can display “how many people have ever visited your site”. How do you do that? And is this something you can do on the front end? I’ve searched but can’t find anything else about it…

    Thanks, Frank

    Hello Frank,

Thank you for posting your question.

To start looking at your stats and display them, you will want to use the Statistics Module.

To get the stat that you are looking for, please try out {most_visitors}.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane

Thanks for your reply. I might have misunderstood the blurb on Features page: I took “how many people have ever visited your site” to be the total number of visits since day one, not “The greatest number of visitors ever online at the same time”, which {most_visitors} outputs.

Is there a way to output the former? I know it’s a grey area, and Google Analytics will be in a better position to accurately show this kind of figure, but my client wants to display a number, even if it’s not a very accurate one!

    Thanks, Frank

    Hello Frank,

I do not believe there is a way to show a count for all users since the sites creation.

The Tracking Preferences list all the available options. There is some good stuff there.

Let me know if that helps.

    Cheers,
