    Hi guys, im pretty new to EE (tho not new in web design world), so far no letdowns.
    Now, the first major problem i have stumbled upon, is the mods communication.
    Forum templates see channel {} tag as plain text. Is there any way around this?

    I have a meeting time announcement floating at all the times:

    <div class="boxbeli margin padding">
    {exp:channel:entries channel="sastanak" limit="1"}
    {sastanakbody}
    {/exp:channel:entries}</div>

    Also, in the same manner, is it possible to put a forum function (like unread pm inbox button) anywhere on the website except the forums?

    Thank you very much 😊

    Hi Alavi,

    Thank you for posting your questions here. In order to use regular template tags with the forum you need to Run the Forums through Regular Templates by doing the following:

    Create a Template as normal in the main Templates tab of the Control Panel. Name it as you want.
    Inside that new Template, place this code and only this code:

    {exp:forum}

    The only option to display forum content in regular templates is here.

    Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
