    Greetings,

I was just going through the process of uploading to a new server. Ran into problems, so thought I’d be methodical, and run the wizard, even though I’m on engine hosting.

As I read the instructions, it said:

    Requirements

We have created a Server Wizard that will verify whether your server is compatible with ExpressionEngine. To use the Wizard:

      Download and unzip the archive.
Upload the folder to your server.
Point your web browser to the folder. Example: http://example.com/ee_server_wizard/

Actually, it seems that the correct thing is to upload the folder that’s *inside* ee_server_wizard (which is called ee_wizard). That’s the folder that you want to point your browser to. Seems kind of confusing….

    Hi strudel,

I just checked and after unzipping the file I had a folder called ee_wizard so yes it does appear that the documentation is incorrect. I will notify the correct people.

    Thank you for posting.
