Is there any way when using a SafeCracker file upload field to force the file name to some specified value, such as {entry_id}-file-1?

I am not aware of anyway to accomplish this. Not natively or with a plugin.
You could look at scripting it on the back end, but that could be difficult with trying to get the entry_id to match up.
I can move this to the Community Help Forum if you would like. There might be some ideas there. Or maybe make a Feature Request - this would be nice to have.
