We have a recently-launched EE site project that we now need to expand. Currently, the site is not open to visitor accounts, so we’re open to any 3rd party EE plugins that would help facilitate expanding the site user model or easily allowing us to expand its usefulness.

The goal here is to allow visitors to:

    1. Sign up for an account on the site. (No problem, of course.)

    2. Allow visitors to then record numerical data via forms (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.).

    3. View a simple report of this data over time. Say, a 6 month period of their blood pressure, etc.)

My question: What EE add-ons should I be looking at to accomplish this?

For example, I thought maybe EE Zoo’s “Visitor” could give us an easy-to-manage accounts model. And possibly use Pro Form to store the numerical data? Thoughts? Better ideas?

    Hi FuturShoc,

I have been using User, by Solspace, it is really good and simple to use, worth checking out.

If you wanted the user to save data to EE you could use the Safecracker module built into EE, this will allow users to save content via a form on the front-end.
Then if you wanted to send them a report you could use a cron job.

Actually, as far as reporting goes, I just need to get that data back out to show a report on the page. Sending a file is unnecessary in my case.
The application is intended to be used as a sort of health diary.

The user can still use a SafeCracker form to insert information on the front end into a channel, then you can pull it out from that particular channel.

This might do the trick. Thanks for your replies, zizther.

    Anyone have other suggestions?

    Hello FuturShoc,

I am happy to see that Zizther has been able to help you out.

I had the same Add-Ons come to mind when I read your question.

If you would like I can move this to the Community Help Forum to get some more eyes on it, More eyes means more suggestions and ideas for implementation.

    Does that sound good?

    Cheers,
