    Dan
    Just ran update with same error when the install halted. Checked the config file app version says

    $config['app_version'] = "231";

    Can I just change this to 240 and go on my merry way and run the program as usual????

    Thought you might need the first few lines on the config file:

    $config['app_version'] = "240";
    $config['install_lock'] = '1';
    $config['license_number'] = '';
    $config['debug'] = '1';

    Hi Michael,

    I see you have started several threads regarding the same issue. They have now been merged into this one thread. Please observe the guidelines regarding support here on the forums. Starting new threads for the same issue only slows down our response times and hinders our ability to help you.

    Can I just change this to 240 and go on my merry way and run the program as usual????

    Have you verified that all the changes from ud_240.php have been applied to the database? If so, then yes, it is safe to place 240 there as the version number and remove /system/installer/

    Cheers,

    That was by accident.

    Meanwhile, do you have an answer for me?

    Never mind I just saw your response. Will check and let you now so you can close the thread.

    Again, Sorry about the multi-thread

    Dan:

    That did the trick. In spite of the error the routines in the ud_240 had in fact been completed wit all tables created and edits completed.

    Thanks for all your help:-)

    I just wanted to chime in that I too have had these errors while trying to upgrade older versions of EE. In general the upgrade scripts since EE 2 have come out seem to be fairly unreliable. Not like the 1.x days. I never had an issue with those. I have nothing but issues with upgrading EE 2 sites for my clients. I wish Ellis Labs could get their mojo back. The quality of their code seems to be suffering these days.
