Thanks for the comment Matthew.  SavvyCard is a mobile publishing platform (not just online business cards).  If you have a client list, you could offer custom branding and design of SavvyCards for your clients.  Check this guy out. He was in the beta-test and he landed several design jobs out of it.

    Hi Eric,
    Interesting…

So this is an additional service I could offer my clients to go along with my Web design services?

Maybe a silly question, but are the SavvyCards themselves also created with CodeIgniter?

    Thanks,
    Matthew

So this is an additional service I could offer my clients to go along with my Web design services?

Yes.  Because it’s a new technology, the challenge were having is educating people how to use SavvyCards to increase their business.  We’re launching a bunch of videos next week to do just that.  So once people catch on how easy it is to create and share a SavvyCard, it’ll be an effective business tool.

Web designers are welcome to add this to their services.  We’re finding it’s not hard to convince business owners to get a SavvyCard, they see one and they all want one.

If you think about it, business people pay about $150-200 on a printed business card layout, and another $50 or so to get them printed.

SavvyCards don’t ever go obsolete if you change the info on your card, so design is a one time expense for life.  If you phone number changes, you just log in and update it.  Make sense?

Anyway, we see designers adding SavvyCard design to their services for their clients.  It’s an effective branding and networking tool.

Maybe a silly question, but are the SavvyCards themselves also created with CodeIgniter?

The entire site is powered by CodeIgniter.

    Cheers!
    Eric
