Hi, I am having a weird issue.

When I adding a new entry to the gallery_picture channel i get a “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading” message in Firefox and a blank screen in all other browsers such as Safari and IE. If a set the status of the entry just added to zero, then everything display as expected and no error message is display.

    - I thought it was a cache problem but is not, as I cleaned all cache and it did not resolve the problem.

    - The channel consist of one textarea field type and 20 file fields types. In trial and error, I left all the file field types empty and add content to the text area and it WORKED.  So the problem is with the file field types.

I checked the settings on the File Upload Preferences and everything looks good.

Therefore, I do not know why the images are causing a blank page.  Just so you know I am using a img:sizer plugin and MSM.  The problem is on a secondary site.

What is weird is that it renders all the old entries perfectly, but when adding a new entry with the pictures it crashes.

    EE Version: 2.4.0 | Build: 20120123
    MSM Version: 2.1.0 | Build: 20110622

You can see that the gallery is working well on the following link http://www.buildwithgbgroup.com/gallery.  (When adding the new entry it wont display).

Any help will be greatly appreciated!  I need to add more pictures for this client.

    Hello Edwin Flores,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Did you recently update to version 2.4?

Is the img:sizer plugin up to date and compatible with 2.4?

When you get a chance can you update MSM to 2.1.2? There are compatibility issues that may arise when ExpressionEngine 2.4 is not used with MSM 2.1.2,.

After you update, does the issue persist?

Let me know what you find and we can go from there.

    Cheers!

    Hello Shane

I updated to MSM 2.1.1 and didn’t work.  However, I got it fixed.  What is happening is that the imgsizer plugin is not been able to create the copies of the resize images into the cache folder due to memory problems and the browser just stop working.  So what I did was to removed the lines that contains the ‘memory_limit’ set from the plugin PHP source code.  That is the only form I could do it.

    That did the trick.
