    getting same issue as previously mentioned

    Update failing on DB “Unknown Column wm_x_offset in exp_file_watermarks”

    This error seems to be pretty specific. can the column be updated manually (added) in the DB?

    btw it might be nice to a have a db “integrity checker” that can be used before upgrade to verify db has all fields and columns required.

    This question may be related to a resolved thread.

    Hello dreas,

    I am sorry to hear you are running into this snag with the update.

    Where are you now in the process? Was this the first time through the update and have you tried again since?

    You may be able to manually update the DB, but there is no guarantee that you will not run into more issues. Really the best thing to do is roll back and do the update again using your backups. Be sure to follow these directions carefully. Please pay special attention to the section marked “Retrying After a Failed Upgrade”.

    I really hope this helps. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know.

    I hope your Monday is going well!

    Cheers,

    Did A roll back and update as per instructions. But it failed again. So rolled back to 2.3.1

    may try again in off peak hours this weekend. May not upgrade until 2.4.1 fixes some of the install bugs.

    btw specs on this install are EE 2.3.1 with MSM 2.1.1 with 5 active sites

    PHP =  5.1.6
    MySQL = 5.0.45

    Hello dreas,

    Let us know if you do decided to update again and have questions.

    Just for future reference, ExpressionEngine 2.4 must be used with MSM 2.1.2.

    Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers,
