    hi guys,
I want to make my site with a few different languages but in 2 steps:

    1. the first is to get my main template and using the IP of the country only use google translator to change the languages. should I create a different template or I don’t need to do it?

    2. I might have a few people to write in different languages so I’ll need to create a new template for english and other to spanish? but is it possible to choose which categories an user group can see?? so they only see the categories of his language template?

looking forward to hearing some ideas
    regards,
    allan

here’s a really good wiki entry on one method for language localization:

    http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Multi_language_site_alternative

Also, there is a module for managing multiple lanugages here:

    ...

I’m not sure the answer to your first question.  Are you wanting to drive the translation of your pages using google translate?

As for your second question, check out the items above and see if either of those make sense for your situation… if they don’t, we can explore other options

    Hello zupi,

Mark has given you some great direction.

I am also not clear on the first question. Can you clarify a bit?

I would also suggest one more Add-on that is pretty awesome. Check out Transcribe and see if that might work for you as well. I hear great things about it.

Let me know a little more about the first question and what you think of the options provided.

    Talk to you soon!

    Cheers,
