I upgraded to 2.4 from 2.1 over the weekend. All went smoothly but did run into some problems with images. I had to ‘Synchronize’ my images and appear to have lost all the avatar images.

Hi kenny,
When you mean lost are they completely removed from the server or just not accessible through member profiles? Could you go to /images/avatars/ on the server and see the avatars are in the default_set as well as your uploads folder therein? When you did the upgrade did you delete this folder and replace it with the fresh one from the 2.4 download? If so you should still have the avatars in the backup of your site that you made before doing the upgrade.

Hi Sean,
the images were actually removed from the server. The update instructions do not mention the images folder so I just left it untouched during the update process.
I did have a backup of the images folder so these have been replaced no problem, I just though you might want to know incase there is something in the update script that caused the problem.
