I had the same problem too except the part that I am new to EE for the first time. I solved the problem by upgrading from PHP 4 to PHP 5 on the web hosting account. It works now. Hope this helps. 😊

I ran into the same issue as Andre - needed to update server environment from PHP4 to PHP5.
