    Hi folks,

    after installing the MSM I’m trying to click to “Create new sites” and I get:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method File_upload_preferences_model::get_file_upload_preferences() in server_adress_and_so_on/expressionengine/controllers/cp/sites.php on line 308

    I’m not good at coding, so I’m totally don’t know what is wrong with line 308.

    Are you able to help me?
    EE as well as the EE_MSM_2 is fully updated.

    The first site is builded right now, however there is not much code inside.

    Best regards,
    Nico

    For EE version 2.4.0, those functions have been deprecated.  See changelog: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/changelog.html

    Deprecated File_upload_preferences_model::get_upload_preferences(), use File_upload_preferences_model::get_file_upload_preferences() instead.
    Deprecated Tools_model::get_upload_preferences(), use File_upload_preferences_model::get_file_upload_preferences() instead.

    I’m not familiar with MSM, but this should be the cause of the errors you are getting

    Downgrading your EE version might help seeing as how the issue is because of EE 2.4.  Either that or find out what you have installed is causing this error and see if there’s an updated version that is compatible with EE 2.4

    Welll MSM is multisite module - maybe I didn’t write it clear.

    Is it really necessary to downgrade? :/

    Hi Nico,

    I’m sorry to see you are having trouble adding sites to MSM.

    If you are using ExpressionEngine 2.4, you should be using MSM version 2.1.2 Can you verify that for me?

    Are you using any third-party add-ons at all? And can you tell me if the File Module is installed? In your Control Panel, Add-ons->Modules:File Module Make note of what it says in the “Status” column.

    Cheers,

    Hi Nico,

    Ah, I have downloaded the latest 2.4 version.

    Excellent, that is the version you will need to have to match the version of MSM you are using.

    Let us know if you still need help after the update.

    Cheers,
