I am trying to restrict access to a template that will contain a form that I only want members to see.  When I configure template access restrictions to the member group and pick a non-login redirect, the redirect I selected never works.  It redirects but to an obscure template in the default template group of my install.  I want to redirect to a template that I have login info.

Ideas about why I can’t force it to go to the proper page?

    Hello pserko,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

What version of ExpressionEngine are you running?

This sounds like a known bug that has a temporary fix. This may or may not apply to you, depending on your version.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Cheers,

the bug fix solved that problem but when I login with a member account is never sets the login and I can’t get to the secure page, it just redirects back to a login page (the page I have set when someone comes to the secure page).  The member links (Log in, Register, log out, etc) do not indicate that the user is logged in since the login link still appears not the logout.

    Hello pserko,

What I understand you to be saying is that now users cannot login?

They login but the member links do not work because they were never actually logged in?

Can you confirm that you are logged in before attempting to access your secure page?

Can you enable debugging and look for errors in the header and footer?

To turn debugging on please go to your Control Panel and navigate to Admin->System Administration-> Output and Debugging. Please set the last two settings, which are “Display Output Profiler?” and “Display Template Debugging?”, to yes.

Please let me know what you find.

    Thank you,

I think it is a cookie issue that I posted about here:http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/211418/

    Thanks
