I’m looking to upload my own videos I’m presume the best format would be flash, don’t want to link to videos from youtube/vimeo. Is this natively possible in a channel entry. And what plugin would you recommend to play it back e.g. flash video player EE plugin?

JW Player works well for its HTML5 fallback capability. VideoJS I’ve heard also works very well. The principle challenge you would face is the upload of video files through the CP - the files being as large as they would tend to be. You may need an add-on to assist with the large file upload, such as mega upload.
