    Hi,

    Throughout the development phase I used one account in “Super Admins” group. Now I’ve created two other groups with sufficient privileges to create and edit entries. The issue I’m having is that any post created by these users are “Closed” in Status area. How do I get entries to default to “Open” for them.

    So far I’ve tried creating a member group based on the “Super Admins” group. Didn’t work.

    What setting do I need to change to allow none “Super Admins” members to post live entries?

    I’m using EE 2.4.0

    Channels -> Channel Preferences ->

    Make sure that “Default Status” is selected as “Open” under “Administrative Preferences”.

    Already checked that, doesn’t work. When other members create posts it still defaults to “Closed”, what’s worst is that they can’t change it to “Open” from their accounts.

    Admin -> Status -> Open

    and please check for “Restrict status to members of specific groups”.

    Checked that already too, for both “Open” and “Closed”, every group that is listed is set to “Yes” for “Can access status”.

    i just tried with above case and found the setting, could you please try it -

    Administration -> Channels -> Edit Group Assignments (for that channel)

    Set the “Status Groups” as “Statuses” instead of “None”.
