We recently migrated a subdomain site to EE.
For most pages, we have created custom URLs that work like the old site. (eg ijet.jat.org/ijet-23/sponsors, where the ijet-23 part would be a problem with EE URL structure)
However, the old URL for the top page was simply ijet.jat.org/ijet-23/ and it results in a 404 error.
I need to redirect this to simply ijet.jat.org.

I tried putting a redirect in the .htaccess file for the subdomain, but it did not redirect.
I’m sure I am making a simple mistake, and would appreciate specific advice as to how to go about this.

    Hi,

A good starting point about EE sub-domains is the User Guide assuming you are running a EE2 version, but it explain how to setup sub-domains.

Let us know if it helped 😉

Thank you for replying. I have looked at the User Guide without success, but will have another look. This is really not a problem of setting up the subdomain. The site works fine on the subdomain as it is. What I need help with is setting up a redirect for an old URL that is causing a 404 error because it does not comply.
