I’ve got lots of author members adding galleries of images. Each image is held in an entry.
If they delete entries the image still remains in filemanager isn’t that right?

Any suggestions for the best way to keep filemanager clean or prune it over time or is just concidered ok to fill up the filemanager.
Is it a good idea to allow them access to delete an image from filemanager - as long as they delete the entry first of course.

    Hi stevo_s,

Yes if they delete an entry the image will remain in the filemanager. I would be cautious about giving lots of authors the ability to delete images from the file manager as it would be possible for them to delete the wrong image accidentally resulting in entries with broken links/images on them.

At this time there is no real easy way to prune the file manager. There is also no real issue with letting it fill up over time unless you are going to run out of space on your hosing account.

    Does this help?

    Sean
