I’m interested to see how other developers hand over their control panels to clients.

We take a lot of care in making sure our panel is really easy to use and have written an extensive override for the default site. We’ve also written custom homepage and various other parts within a “Red Carrot” module to replace (sometimes scary) ExpressionEngine screens like the “View Entry” screen.

I’d strongly recommend Zoo Admin, we’ve played about with a number of different ways to make it as easy as possible for clients to “get it” but the one we’ve landed on is a simple, “Home - Add - Edit - More” navigation structure.

    Hi,

we built something very similar. It is a CP built around a series of templates and safecracker forms. I developed some specific addons to do the trick, we had to torture
EE a bite, but it works.

I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one for which the clients have some ‘difficulties’ with UI 😉

I REALLY like your approach to replacing the native EE view entry screen - it’s always been something I would like to change put getting into the core is beyond my skills.  I’ve done well with Zoo Flexible Admin and my general approach to channel organization within that, but I’d certainly like to do more.  I’m hoping that a “private label” of the EE CP will be possible sometime down the line in future versions, but it’s far from the top of my wish list.
