I recently updated msm site to 2.4. Most everything works fine but it seems the file field doenst fire an uploader when I click on ‘upload’ .. http://cl.ly/0d2C0h1E3k2Q0W0C3a0q

The issue only seems to happen in the entry. When I try to upload in the file manager it works. I tried creating a new file field, but that didnt change anything.

Not sure if related, but I am still having issues with underscores showing up for anything related to file manager .. http://cl.ly/3m3b3c3M30390T3W1W3V or http://cl.ly/2y1H3i1k221m1f253T1Z

Do you have the Accessory Template Variables installed? If so remove it.

    Hmmm,

How about temporarily turning of some addons to make sure it’s not them causing this, starting with ones that put stuff in ‘themes/third_party’

    Hi florian,

I’m sorry the update to 2.4 has presented some issues for you. I’m going to help you get this sorted out.

When you updated ExpressionEngine, did you make sure to update MSM as well? The current version is 2.1.2 and is meant to be updated in tandem with ExpressionEngine.

The missing language keys in the screenshots point to trouble in /themes Were you sure to update themes with the copy included in the download of 2.4? That is likely the problem with the upload button as well.

I look forward to your response!

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

yes, I also updated MSM. I run Multiple Site Manager

    Version: 2.1.2 Build: 20120123.

I already tried to upload the themes folder again, and I made sure its from the 2.4 package.

    - I am able to upload through the file manager, and I am also able to upload througn wygwam in the field. but the file field in the entries will will not trigger upload button. Also, I am noticing a strange layout issue. http://cl.ly/0A423z0D0R3M1m3e1s2m

    any other ideas?

    best

    I got it resolved.

I had a js conflict from a third party extension ‘social update’.
also i reuploaded the language files which fixed the issue with the weird _ ..
