I upgraded an MSM site from 1.7.1 to 2.4 today and while I can access the control panel, I get the following error when I try to load the main site:

    Error

Unable to load requested field type file:  ft.ftype_id_2.php.

Confirm the fieldtype file is located in the expressionengine/third_party/ directory

I am running WYGWAM 2.4.0.2, Freeform, Users, Calendar and have extensions enabled.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    Hi Forrest,

In searching for an answer on this, it looks like you’ve also posted and gotten a response on this over at StackOverflow. It seems to confirms what I suspected: this is an issue with FieldFrame from EE 1. Was that in use on this EE 1 site?

If so, you may need to work with Pixel & Tonic for support in upgrading the FieldFrame part of an EE 1 site to EE 2.

    Hi Kevin,

FieldFrame was installed in EE1, but it was never in use. I have been in touch with Pixel & Tonic and so we have not gotten far enough to determine what the cause is. With the entire MSM system down, I try all avenues after searching every possible existing solution. If you come up with any other possible options please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Forrest

    Hi Kevin,

I did a search of the database and found one entry that mentioned a fieldtype that matched the description of the offending element. I removed that entry and everything came up as it should. Problem solved.

    Thanks for the help.
