    Hello

    I have just upgraded EE and all is working fine apart from a single tag on my homepage.  It was working fine before.

    I have a channel for home page banners, the image file is called {offerbanner}, this is referenced in my template with other tags from the channel such as {banner_alt_tag} which is working fine.

    This is critical as it is a very obvious problem on the focus point of my homepage.  Can someone please help?

    Many thanks

    Chris

    Do you mind posting a link to the site? Any any relevant code for the output of the image?

    It is a MSM site.  They all feed off the same core code.  The problem is the same across all sites:

    One example is - http://www.irentaberdeen.co.uk

    The code in the template for this banner is as follows:

    <div class="pics">
    {exp:channel:entries channel="offers" site="aberdeen" category="{embed:catid}" orderby="offer_priority" sort="asc"}
    {if offer_featured == "Yes"}
    <a href="http://{title_permalink=">_{offerbanner}_</a>
    {/if}
    {/exp:channel:entries}
    </div>

    Thanks

    The variable isn’t outputting the image location. Have you gone into the channel entry to see if the image is still showing up / re-submitting the entry? The image may have somehow gotten removed from the database entry during your upgrade.

    I deleted the field and re entered.  The images all show and can be opened in the file manager.  I will try deleting and adding an entire entry…

    On your detail page the image is broken and has the following source: src=”{offer_banner_thumbnail}”

    It looks like the custom field either doesn’t exist or has no value.

    Not sorted, see next post below…

    Deleting entry and re-doing has sorted it.

    Very odd, wonder why upgrade caused this to happen!?

    Anyway if anyone else experiences the same thing hopefully this helps!!!!

    Thank you

    PS Detail page had incorrect tag, sorted also.

    Sorry, it hasn’t sorted it.  It seems to work ok on http://www.irentaberdeen.co.uk but not on any of the sub sites such as http://www.irentedinburgh.co.uk

    I deleted all images and all channel entries and started from scratch :-(

    This is very annoying!

    I’m having the same issue… the File fieldtype doesn’t spit out the url to the image.

    The image is still on your server here: http://www.irentaberdeen.co.uk/img/offers/Edinburgh.jpg

    So it looks like you’ve lost the field data in your database. How many entries do you have that use this Channel Field? I would recommend deleting the channel field under the Admin panel and adding it back in, then going through and entering the content for that field in each of your entries.

    If you have direct access to your database, log in and check the exp_channel_data table. sort by channel_id to find the correct channel, and sort through your custom fields (field_id_x, where x is a number) until you find the correct table cell. If these cells are all empty or corrupted, you need to recreate the field.

    I have already deleted the field, re-created it and entered all data again.  As webPragmatist is having the same issue I think this may be a 2.4 bug?

    Where is the EE staff?  Is this issue known about yet?  How do I flag it with them?

    If recreating the field doesn’t help, then I don’t think there is much assistance that I can offer. Hopefully a moderator will help you guys soon. Good luck.

    I have found the entry in the DB, it reads -

    https://ellislab.com/asset/images/team-photo/Aberdeen.jpg

    Aberdeen is working ok but the other sites on MSM are not.  Is the above normal?

    Interestingly when I published filedir_1 into this post it returned https://ellislab.com/asset/images/team-photo/, I had to put it in code tags to display normally.

    When I do the same on my website it is not processed.
