    Hi,

    I just updated a msm set up from 2.1.3 to 2.4
    update went ok, but now I dont see any of my images. Also the buttons look a little bit weird to me. http://cl.ly/1O1O1R3L0B2e2s3p1w10

    I know for sure the files are on the server http://cl.ly/0b3f0w3G341h1t2M110c The preferences also look good in the file upload preferences. But yet, when I go to file browser, there are no images displayed..

    Hello florian,

    Sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

    Have you run Synchronize Files since the upgrade? That would be the first place to start.

    I would also check the permissions and ownership of the directory. The permissions should be 777. The directory should be owned by the same user that is running apache (owns the process) . Often it’s apache or www-data. It depends on your server.

    I hope this helps, if you have any more questions, please let me know.

    Cheers!

    @florian are these files being accessed from another channel on another site by chance?

    We are having the same issue in this thread http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/209533/

    Shane could you give us a hand?

    after synchronizing the files, they did show up again. however, i still see that strange issue with the names on the buttons. do you see all the underscores? what could that be ? http://cl.ly/1O1O1R3L0B2e2s3p1w10

    @webpgramatist .. yes, this is a msm installation that access the files from the main msm domain.

    Hi florian,

    I am happy to hear that you can see the files once again with the file manager.

    You are right, those buttons do not look right.

    Can you please try uploading the themes folder again? You might also double check the permissions on the Themes folder. Sometimes the FTP client can mess with those.

    If that does not fix it, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    The issue across MSM sites is not fixed for me or or I presume @webpgramatist by syncing the files.  Shane can you also help us at the thread mentioned above - http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/209533/

    Thank you

    Hi Sean,

    theme folder is set to 755. I uploaded it again but still see the issue. The button is fine, its the text on top of it that has a problem. The underscore. Any other ideas. http://cl.ly/0I1s323f4132332X3j0P

    Hi florian,

    It looks like this could also be an indicator that a language pack was not uploaded after the upgrade. Can you check the backup you made before starting the upgrade and make sure you uploaded the entire contents of language folder?

    What is your language set to in the Control Panel?

    Regards,

    I’m noticing the same issue. I tested the upgrade on my local instance before touching our staging server.

    After the upgrade to 2.4. Images went unlisted in the file manager.

    - Checked the preferences, everything matched up fine.
    - Ran file synch. Progress-bar isn’t updating and only a few images synched into the DB.

    I also get a js error referenced in index.php:line:327

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'add_trigger' of undefined

    index.php:327
    <pre><code>
    $.ee_filebrowser.add_trigger($(”#cat_image_add”), function(a){
    $("#cat_image").val(a.thumb.replace("_thumbs/thumb_",""));$.ee_filebrowser.reset();
    });
    <pre><code>

    Looks like $.ee_filebrowser is the undefined variable in this case.

    I figured out the problem. It was caused by the Category Image Manager.
    An accessory I was using to upload images to the category image field.
    Nothing to do with EE, it’s a third_party problem that I will no longer need since the same functionality is native in EE 2.4 now.
