This is my first time using Safecracker,
I got the module installed and I got the SAEF working just fine
but when I go to admin > Add Ons > Modules and click on Safecracker
I go to the extension settings
but when I go to set the default status on my channels
all I get is a “—-” in my drop down, I would like them to set to open or closed
I wonder is there a setting that I miss for this to occur

    much help is appreciated

    thanks!

    Hey bdcads,

Sorry to see this issue come up for you. Hopefully I can help you out here.

If you go to “Admin -> Channel Administration -> Channels” and then click “Edit Group Assignments” for the channel in question, make sure that there is a “Status Group” assigned to the channel.

When the status group is left to “none”, only Super Admins have the ability to set entries to “Open”, “Closed”, etc.

Since SafeCracker involves using a member group other than the Super Admins, it defaults to “—-” when there is no Status Group selected for that channel.

So, once you create/assign a Status Group to the channel you are using the SafeCracker form on, then everything should work properly.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks.
