I’m having trouble getting the translation utility to work. I’m running v2.3.1 - Build: date 20111017

    I’m working on translating mailinglist_lang.php.

I have already updates the Menu.php file to fix the errors:
    https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/16747

I have the permissions set right for the translations folder and it’s creating a a php file that has the changes I made. For me the changes are being updated in the Translation Utility but when I test signing up for a Mailing list and unsubscribing an email address all the terms are unchanged.

Is there some setting that needs to be turned on for ExpressionEngine to use the translations and not the default values?

    Hi, fcteurope -

I see you are also in in this thread where Dan Decker outlined the steps for you.  Seems like it may be better to continue there.  Or did you have further questions that would be better in your own thread?

    And do those steps help?

    Thanks!

Yes, I think I’m set, Thanks. Looks like the user guide could use some updating.

    Hi, fcteurope -

Glad to hear it.  It does look like the user guide could use at least some cross-linking.  Well make sure to review those materials.

    Thank you!
