This question may be related to a resolved thread.

This recently just started happening to me. As a superadmin with XSS filter turned off I cannot upload any file regardless of size or type. I don’t have a disk space limit on my server and I have increased the size of my php execution time. The permissions on all of folders are 777 as they should be. Neither Pixel & Tonics Assets nor native EE file manager will upload. I can upload via ftp fine as well. And synchronizing files works fine too.

    EE: 2.3.1

Alright so it will upload .PSD files and .PDF files but not .GIF, .JPG, or .PNG files.

    Hello akukral,

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue with uploading certain files. I have read through your post a few times, and I would be pretty frustrated with the problem.

That you can upload Photoshop files and PDF files but not a GIF, PNG, or JPG is very odd. I would have suggested increasing the size and execution time as well as turning of XSS. You have done a great job troubleshooting.

Can you provide me with the exact error you are receiving? A screen shot maybe?

    We will go from there.

    Thank you,

Seems as though over the weekend it has worked itself out. After talking with several developers they believe the issue to be related to the using a grid or cloud hosting solution. I was recently told that my site was moved from one cloud to another and while the absolute paths did not change when they moved the sites, the redundancy had not written all of the files or permissions correctly or properly until the transition was complete (which took some time).

    You can mark this closed.

    Thank you for the reply.
