Hi,
I’ve installed EE many times before - but never had this problem before ...

Trying to install a brand new set up of 2.3.1.

Everything’s uploaded and file permissions correct as per your User Guide. But when I try to access domain.com/admin.php - I get the error: Unable to locate your config file (expressionengine/config/config.php)

The file’s definitely there with permissions 666.

We’ve got several other EE sites running off this server so I don’t think it’s any server issue.

Progress on the site is pretty much stopped until this can be resolved so I hope someone can make a suggestion quickly 😊

Is the path to the system folder correct in admin.php?

I literally just figured this out ... File permissions on config directory were 666. Seems they needed to be 757 - so it was my server after all (oops).

I don’t remember having to change anything from the suggested installation settings before, but guess I must have done!
