Entry Links not working properly.

I am using Expression Engine 2.0.

Everything on the front-end of my site is fine.  However, in the control panel when I click to modify a particular Entry, I am rerouted to random entry pages instead of the page for the Entry I clicked on.

I haven’t deleted any files and the only thing I’ve done recently is make a few minor edits to a few Entries.  Currently the only way I can edit an entry is to keep clicking on Entry links until I get lucky and I’m lead to the entry I’m trying to edit.

Why is this happening?  Is there some update I can do to fix this glitch?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi wingchunnycadmin,

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this problem. I would recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of ExpressionEngine. There have been many bug fixes and improvements since 2.0. If you are still experiencing problems after the upgrade please let me know.

This happens on earlier versions of EE 2.0 The problem appears to be related to the fact that some portion of the page has not completely loaded and/or perhaps some Javascript has not completed.  To see if this is the issue, wait a few seconds after the Edit page loads, then hover over the entry you want to edit and see if the link url ends with the entry id (Firefox will preview links in the lower left of the browser frame when you hover).

In any case, I would follow Sean’s advice and upgrade - there are many benefits in addition to bug fixes.
