Hey, sorry if this is a common question, but i couldn’t find the answer to it.

With EE, the channel title table has the titles of each ‘post’ in it, and then the actual data to that post is stored in the channel data table.  How are they related?  I cannot find the identifier that combines the two.

Of course, I have this gut feeling that once someone answers this, I am going to go “Face +> Palm” so I will keep looking, but I am close to being done with this particular project so i figured I would ask.

    Thanks!

    Hi feeneywireless,

Moving this to the Tech Support forum for you.
Can I ask what you wish to do? What do you need an identifier for? If we had soem context we might be able to to help you specifically.

What version and build of EE are you using?
    Are you using any add-ons?

    Hey thanks!

Actually, I am making a CSV upload/population script and want to be able to tie everything together.  I think I may have found a way to do it, but I wanted to see if there was anything that would be more efficient using the current structure. I am using:

    EE 2.2.2.
And my only add-ons are Wygwam and Matrix.

    Thanks!

    Hi feeneywireless,

Take a look at DataGrab for importing CSV data into entries

Thanks so much for that!  The only issue I have is that I need to have the upload be customer facing.  So someone visiting the site can upload the CSV and add it to the site content.  But there are a bunch of good hints in the support of this add-on that have been very helpful! Thanks again -
