Can you check to see if all the theme templates have been uploaded into the /themes folder - sounds like you may have one missing.

Can you check that paths are correct, and permissions are correct for avatar upload folders?
What EE version are you using?
#5 / Dec 20, 2011 9:47am
Yes path is correct and permission to it used to work under Apache server but when i move to nginx + apache 1 url dose not work member/edit_avatar
#6 / Dec 20, 2011 9:51am
Hmmm, it could be something to do with Nginx then, I’ll have to leave this to EE support I’m afraid :(

farrukhny,
I did a quick search for nginx and expressionengine and found this: http://wiki.nginx.org/ExpressionEngine which directly addresses 404 errors. Have you configured nginx with that in mind?

Hi farrukhny,
What version and build of EE are you using?
Are you using any add-ons?
Does the same behavior happen when you goto the edit photo page?
Does your avatar folder have writable permissions?
Is this 404 appearing on the front-end or in the control panel?
If front-end, are you using a htaccess and if so what do you have in it?
#10 / Dec 22, 2011 9:34am
v2.3.1 - Build: date 20111017

farrukhny,
Could you post the contents of your .htaccess file here. It’s possible there is something that we might see.

Can you explain to us how you are using nginx in conjunction with Apache? This is certainly a non-standard setup for ExpressionEngine. Since we don’t have Nginx as part of our supported server configurations, it makes it difficult to troubleshoot. Providing as much context as possible about how you are using the 2 servers together may provide us some clues.
Thanks!

ok guys
i use Nginx for static content and apache for dynamic content all http request go to Nginx and if it dynamic like php nginx past it to apache (proxy)
there is simple example right here: http://www.ibualoy.net/blog/itech/linux/167-how-to-configure-nginx-and-apache-on-debian
