Hi
EE v2.3.1 - Build: date 20111017
I have parent and child categories set up and I notice entries
for the child categories automatically also go into the parent
categories as well. Is there a way to stop this, - so the user
has the choice of entering the entry into the parent if they wish?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Go to Admin>Channel administration>Global Channel Preferences and set “Auto-Assign Category Parents” to No 😊
