Hi All, I have been given a brief for a recruitment website and I’m considering using EE for the project and I’m assuming its powerful enough and has the capabilities (along with modules and plugins) to handle the site requirements.

First and foremost I dont see a problem with creating the job posts, I will do these using a single channel customised to the required field requirements.

I will then use the Solspace user module to enable candidates to register entering specific data to create their own profile and also use the Solspace Supersearch module for advanced search requirements such as categories, country and keywords. This should work shouldnt it?

However, there are a few other issues I need to know whether EE or an alternative module / plugin can cope with.

1.) Browse by ‘category’ - I can just create a template page highlighting posts from within that category to display only, that right?

2.) Save search results so candidates can come back to at a later date, is that a feature in Supersearch?

3.) Create email alerts to alert member of category related posts once entered (possibly admin controlled)

4.) Candidates to submit timesheets, can this be done via the Safecracker module and saved as a channel entry?

I’m fairly confident this can be done in EE and I have just these issues that I would need confirming before I make a start.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Scott

I often use Low’s Seg2Cat for this very purpose, http://gotolow.com/addons/low-seg2cat

2.) Save search results so candidates can come back to at a later date, is that a feature in Supersearch?

    Check the solspace docs http://www.solspace.com/docs/detail/super_search_save_search_form/
They also have excellent support forums for their software 😊

3.) Create email alerts to alert member of category related posts once entered (possibly admin controlled)

    Have a look at http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/mx-notify-control
Not sure if it can control alerts on category level, but if not Max is a very responsive developer.

4.) Candidates to submit timesheets, can this be done via the Safecracker module and saved as a channel entry?

Safecracker has a file field type:
    http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/safecracker/index.html#safecracker-file-fieldtype
so that should work, haven’t done this myself though.
