    I am trying out the non-commercial version of EE thanks to sales and well I have the demo template installed but I have yet to log into the CP.  The resend passwd works fine but still nothing.

    From memory this may be an issue with EE not being able to set a session on your device. I’m assuming you’re allowing cookies etc?

    Hi M Perks,

    Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about your frustration. It seems you might have a sessions/coookie issue on your server. I’d like you to add the following to your config.php file which can be found in /system/expressionengine/config/config.php This will set your login to use cookies only.

    $config['admin_session_type'] = "c";

    Let me know if that helps.

    Yes the line worked!  Thanks.  Do you know of any review sites that are using this cms for an article/review web site?

    Testing at reviewlinux.com/ee currently staring at a nice blank template…. 😊  Went with no template.  Is there also migration tools to transfer data from another db that is not ee?

    Hi reviewlinux,

    A couple of article/review sites powered by EE are A List Apart and Gear Live

    The best way to import data from other databases is currently the add-on DataGrab. What you’ll need to do is set up an xml or rss feed from your old database and then data grab will import into EE.
