Hi hungrysquirrel,
Could you provide a few more details about what is happening for you? Are you able to publish with Moblog via your desktop? Have you tried different mail programs on your phone? Are you getting any error messages?

I can publish to my moblog from iPhone and desktop w/o images with both dedicated iPhone app and Gmail app.
As soon as I try to attach an image with Google Gmail iPhone app the entry posts but without the image….with iPhone mail app the entry will not even post.
Sometimes I see a base64 message in the notifications dock on my site’s CP admin panel. No other errors

hungrysquirrel,
I am going to notify another support rep who has an iphone so that they can attempt to replicate this issue and find a solution for you.

Thank you. I look forward to the advice, I am anxious to post with images.

hungrysquirrel, can you fire off an email to me with each app (indicate app in subject line) and include an image with each. I want to take a look at what may be unique in these emails. Just send it over to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Hi Robin,
I sent off two emails this AM one from dedicated iPhone app and the other from the Gmail iPhone app.
Both have an image and one line of body copy.
Thanks for your help with this.

Thanks! Got them both and am starting to dig around. Hopefully I’ll spot a good hint quickly.

Oh- one more question- if you send the message from say gmail or something not your iphone with an image attached, does it go in fine?

And one more question- can you try it with a very small image- try something like one of the smiley giffs. And if that fails- can you upload the same image to the designated upload directory via the file manager?

Hi Robin,
I am sorry for my late response. I typically get an email notification for this thread but I must have missed it.
Here’ is a test from gmail desktop OSX Lion using Chrome with a 4k image attached. The post did not show till I forced it to check through the admin UI :(
The image src was non existant….pls see this url http://ballofrock.com/blog/testing-attachments
For your second request….curiously enough when I went to upload the image through the file manager it was there! So something is partially working. You are more than welcome to take a look. Do you still have the login credentials?
Again sorry about “sleeping” on this for so long.

Did another test that updated the file dir name in the Moblog module preferences. This built the URL up to the actual image name but the src is still incomplete. I am reading docs now to see what I am missing.

Hi hungrysquirrel,
Do you still have the login credential
We don’t keep them on file but be on the lookout for an email from me as I sent you a request for updated details
