Hello,

I have three RSS templates on my EE site, one for the index, one for single column pages and one for two-column pages. I have the RSS feeding into SearchSpring so that the entire site is searchable. The problem is that I have some testing pages and thank you pages that I do not need searchable…

Is there a way to exclude a list of pages or something so they are not fed into RSS, without a 3rd party add-on or module?

There are many ways to do this…

Your RSS feed content is generated by channel entry tags so you many options, here’s one:

Use a custom field with a simple Yes/No option
- create a select or radio field, eg called rss_exclude, set the field value as required for the entry, then in your feed template use the search parameter to exclude:

{exp:channel:entries channel="channel" search:rss_exclude="no"}

You could also use a checkbox, custom status, even by excluding a category from the channel entries tag.
