Recommended US Hosting for EE2?

    Hi!

I’ll probably be recommending EE2 to a client as the best solution for a new website project. They want to host the site in the US and will ask their IT company to manage the hosting (although management will probably fall to me in practice).

I don’t want my client’s IT company to go out and order the cheapest possible US hosting, only to find that it’s not compatible with EE2 and be told that we have to use a different CMS. So I’d like to recommend 2 or 3 US hosting options which people here have had good experience with for running EE2. They don’t need anything fancy: a shared hosting plan on a reliable and secure hosting platform will be fine.

Obviously I’ll recommend EngineHosting (probably S-1) but it will be helpful to have another recommendation or two. I only have experience of MediaTemple in the US and I could not honestly recommend them to my client.

Any and all opinions most welcome. Thanks!

Forgot to mention previously but also important - ideally the hosting provider should be certified under the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework. Will have to check EngineHosting on this point…

EngineHosting (ofc) or why not Rackspace? I have both CloudServers and their hosted solutions for clients and EE run really well there.

Thanks for the recommendation Esset. I’ll have a look at Rackspace offerings.
