    Hello,

We will be eventually redesigning a current website that we created in EE1. I would like to keep the existing website live (lets call it http://www.site-version1.com) and build the new website (lets call it http://www.site-version2.com) in a testing Area of EE using templates, weblogs, ect. I assume using multisite manager I could create a new site and build it out.

My question is: When the time comes to push the new site live to the existing URL, how do we transfer the testing site-version2 templates, and everything to the current production url (site-version1). It is pretty straight forward?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi LSI Guy,

I would highly recommend taking a look at this article on EEInsider that goes into some good depth on how to set up your EE2 site for easy transitions between servers. Lots of folks develop EE locally and then push those changes to their production site, so it’s certainly possible. I would consider it best practice even!

If you run into any issues with that, please do let us know!
